River East Minor Injury Clinic offers physician-administered joint injections for patients experiencing certain types of joint, tendon or ligament pain. Treatment options may include corticosteroid injections for short-term relief of inflammation and prolotherapy, which uses a dextrose solution to support the body’s natural healing response.

Prolotherapy injections are performed with ultrasound guidance and may be considered for concerns such as mild to moderate knee osteoarthritis, tennis elbow, plantar fasciitis, Achilles or rotator cuff tendinopathy, and sacroiliac joint pain. Your physician will assess your condition and recommend whether an injection is appropriate for you.
